Hair Massacure supporting the Rainbow Society of Alberta
JOIN THE FIGHT!
For the entire month of February our Wolfe Pack Warriors team will be bringing pink awareness to the 19th Annual Hair Massacure event that is raising funds for the Rainbow Society of Alberta & the Terry Fox Foundation.
The Rainbow Society of Alberta is dedicated to giving the gift of hope by granting wishes to children in Alberta diagnosed with severe, chronic, and life-threatening medical illneses.
The 19th Annual Hair Massacure head shaving event will take place at the West Edmonton Mall Ice Palace on Friday, February 25th from 10am to 8pm.
What is Hair Massacure?
Hair Massacure is a community giving the gift of hope.
This month long event started by honoring children losing their hair to chemotherpy.
Kali MacDonald, the youngest daughter of Tammy and Gordon MacDonald is the inspirational catalyst behind the Hair Massacure (formerly St. Valentine’s Day Hair Massacre). Kali was diagnosed in Sept 2000 at age 2 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, she endured 3 years of chemotherapy daily.
This month long event now honors children in Alberta diagnosed with severe, chronic, or life-threatening medical illnesses.
How the Wolfe Pack is contributing
The Wolfe Pack Warriors Foundation has a team that is raising funds for this cause. The more our team raises, the more our Wolfe Pack Warriors Foundation will donate!
Members of our team are pinking their hair to raise awareness, and a few of our team members are also participating in the head shave on February 25 at West Edmonton Mall.
