Having access to outdoor activities is paramount to mental and physical wellbeing.
This spring, the Wolfe Pack Warriors Foundation is working with charities that are opening up the outdoors for all, despite societal, geographical, and physical barriers.
Spirit North empowers Indigenous youth to be unstoppable in sport, school and life. Through the transformative power of sport and play, we help youth find the courage to take on any challenge, develop leadership skills, improve their health and wellness, discover new talents and unlock their limitless potential.
On May 6th, the Wolfe Pack Warriors Foundation along with our friends at Spirit North and Nakoda Elementary School got kids on 20 new Norco bikes! We are incredibly grateful to Stephen Exley for sourcing the bikes and his team of volunteers for putting the bikes together with the grade 3-5 students. We would also like to extend a big thank you to the staff and volunteers from Spirit North for organizing activities for students to celebrate. We are can't wait for more updates about the mountain bike programming they are launching soon.
In Support of the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation and the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation
Life Cycle is a virtual cycling event in support of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. Taking place throughout June 2022, families and cyclists will ride towards their personal fundraising and distance goals as they make a difference for kids across Alberta.Support a Wolfe Pack Warriors Team
Wolfe Pack Warriors are matching donations to $5000. Funds raised through Life Cycle will be supporting the Child Life departments at both Hospitals. The Child Life teams work with families to alleviate stress and anxiety during their stay at the Hospital. Child Life Specialists provide kids with age-appropriate preparation for medical procedures, pain management and coping strategies through play and self-expression activities. Art, music, and pet therapies are all part of the Child Life toolkit.
